Creative Expression with Charcoal - A Robert Dutton Webinar with Painters Online

Painters Online have teamed up with professional artist and Search Press author, Robert Dutton, for a brand-new series of live webinars. Across five online sessions, Robert will cover a range of beautiful subjects and guide you through a variety of exciting drawing tools and techniques.
Everyone who signs up for a webinar will receive Robert's suggested materials and reference photograph in their confirmation email ahead of the live session, so you can either follow along with Robert or try it for yourself afterwards. The webinars will be recorded, and made available to those who have registered following the live session.

Charcoal – that amazing artists' media! There's so much you can do with it. Today’s artists don’t just have sticks. There are blocks, grades (from ‘H’ to ‘very soft’), liquid charcoal, powders and more!
This webinar takes you through the possibilities of adding new dimensions to working with a traditional media, in contemporary, new and exciting ways. To include liquid, powder and charcoal aquarelle al in the same expressive drawing creates amazing depth!
The reference photograph of one of the quieter Yorkshire Dales villages, ‘Thorpe’ in Upper Wharfedale (Near Grassington), provides you with lots of opportunities to explore texture and light, the main themes of this workshop, using different types of charcoal in combination.
