This beautiful beginner’s guide is designed specifically for the way your hands naturally move, and includes a complete guide to crochet techniques, a wealth of stitches and patterns, plus 8 stunning projects!
It’s time to stop translating and start creating, with this comprehensive crochet book from left-handed crochet designer Anaïs Debulois.
If you’re left-handed, you know the struggle: trying to follow crochet diagrams in a mirror, or mentally flipping every instruction just to work a single stitch Anaïs Debulois offers you an alternative to making-do with right-handed tutorials. Anaïs, who learned to crochet by sitting across from her mother, carefully mirroring her every move, understands the unique hurdles left-handed people face. In this book, she shares the treasure trove of knowledge she’s gathered, offering you the guide she wished she’d had as a child. Discover:
- Advice on getting started: from choosing equipment and yarn to achieving the perfect left-handed hook grip.
- A comprehensive stitch and technique manual: learn basic stitches and beautiful variations, and discover how to block, change colour, add buttonholes, correct errors and much more.
- A way to decode patterns: get to grips with symbols, diagrams and abbreviations so you can pick up these - and any future projects - with confidence.
- 8 stunning projects: a chic headband, a stylish hat and a cute make-up bag; a beautiful raffia drawstring pouch; a loose-fitting top, a sleeveless tank, a miniskirt and even a full mini dress!
Whether you’re looking to craft your first bag or design your own wardrobe, this book will help your creativity run wild.
This book is a translation of popular French title, Je suis gaucher et je fais du crochet.
