I adore this new book by Joy-Louise Robinson. She breaks down drawing flowers and animals so beautifully and its such a soothing way to draw.
I was recently sent this stunning book by the super talented Joy-Louise Robinson and have loved scanning the beautiful tutorials! I decided to give the Snowflake tutorial a shot as I realised I've either never drawn one or it's been way too long that I have no recollection. I've got to say the tutorial was super easy to follow along and super effective!
There are 20 stunning tutorials with beautiful flora and fauna! Next up I'm going to step out of my comfort zone and try one of the adorable fauna tutorials!
A gorgeous book by the very talented artist Joy-Louise Robinson. I have to say, whilst I only intended to read 20 pages per night, I found myself over half way through. I was so engrossed. I have even tried some of the projects as well. The artist is very clear and concise with instructions, and I like how she encourages you to make adaptations with the projects. At the beginning of the book, there is advice on materials, warm-up techniques, various pen techniques you could use. There are gorgeous illustrations all the way through. I like the way she uses green to denote each step. There are colour suggestions and swatches which of course you can deviate from. It is entirely up to you how you personalise each project.
