About Debbie Bliss
Debbie Bliss is one of the foremost designers and authors of hand-knitting patterns in both the UK, the US, Europe and Asia. As well as publishing Debbie Bliss Knitting Magazine she is the author of best-selling knitting pattern books, including The Ultimate Book of Baby Knits, The Knitter's Year, Knits for You and Your Home and The Knitter's Knowledge, which was the winner of The Best Book 2013 at The British Knitting Awards.
Grannies, mums and friends if you are looking for ideas for knitting patterns for 6 months-7 years then this is a useful book. The patterns use a range of techniques including cable, lace and fair isle. The charts for the fair isle are easy to follow and all the written instructions are clear. At the back of the book is a section on techniques to assist the knitter with any difficulties.
The projects use a range of Yarns from 4ply to aran weight and one could certainly use some remainders from other projects for the bootee and striped projects.
The photos are great but I do feel that the title is a bit misleading as many of the patterns cater for children over 3 years so the cover may not attract knitters who are keen to knit for children aged 3+.
I would like to add this book to my library.
