What I love about Debbie Shore is that she is brilliant at bringing us easy patterns that look amazing when finished and oh sew professionally made.
Even is you are an absolute beginner, these bag patterns are something you canmake in just a few hours.
A full sized pattern sheet is included, I photocopied mine, and a booklet with everything you need, sizes and a written and visual step by step will ensure you do not make any mistakes.
Debbie has included a video tutorial with these patterns, so what is doing is holding your hand and guiding you though each step, with simple sewing language and lot of enthusiasm. She really does want to know everything she knows and to create something wonderful, useful and completely usable.
These bags are made with Bosal foam stabaliser. this gives your bag shape and is easy to use.
I adored these patterns. Debbie is a genius at coming up with new trends and fabulous ideas. And this product is definitely one I would highly recommend.
British Patchwork & Quilting
Debbie Shore and Bosal are joining forces in the first UK collaboration with three brand new patterns available from Lady Sew and Sew and Empress Mills.
The patterns all come with an individual video tutorial, pull out pattern sheets and a booklet of instructions. Every pattern published will be accompanied by a Bosal foam stabiliser cut out. Bosal have never previously collaborated with a British designer in the creation of the foam cut outs. Earlier patterns accompanied by matching Bosal foam cut outs have been designed in the USA and Bosal are delighted that they are working with Debbie. Bosal are world-renowned producers of high quality interfacing foam, selling internationally throughout the world.
The patterns will be published by the Half Yard Sewing Club, the online digital sewing club which features projects, patterns and all Debbie's sewing secrets and allows members a peak into Debbie's sewing world. The patterns and videos will also be available in digital format via the Search Press website, www.searchpress.com.

What is simpler for beginner bag makers than a book? Answer: a pattern pack! Debbie Shore has created three of these to make bag making a breeze for even newbie stitchers. You dont even have to cut out all the shapes yourself.
Open the sturdy card envelope and inside are an instruction booklet and pattern sheets. The booklet tells you what you need to buy and takes you through the construction process via captioned photographs. You will need to obtain some Bosal single-sided fusible foam stabilizer to adhere to your fabric, but you dont have to cut it out yourself as you can buy it ready cut (or in a sheet if you prefer). Basic sewing equipment and a few other items are required plus a working knowledge of using a sewing machine etc but this pattern is ideal for somebody who is new to patterns and projects. Measurements in the booklet and on the sheets are given in both imperial and metric and the thin white paper is easier to deal with than traditional pattern tissue paper. Rosemary is a pretty bag just over a foot wide with a shaped flap. Leave off the strap if you want a clutch purse; it is also ideal for decorating with embroidery, beadwork etc if you are feeling like a bit more of a challenge. Also available in the series is quilted Shelley (a bit like a satchel) and bucket tote Elizabeth for shopping in style. To make it even easier you can watch a video tutorial as a QR code and website address is given. I wish there had been things like this available when I started out sewing; a winning idea for a series of patterns that I hope will be added to.
