This book, taught by popular ceramic artist and instructor Julia Claire Weber, is a friendly, contemporary workshop on learning the potter's wheel. With an open-minded approach that encourages you to find the methods that work best for you, Julia avoids the frustration students feel when trying to use hand positions that work for some but not others. Throughout the book, the upbeat, encouraging nature that helps her sell-out workshops in person shines through on the page as she helps you build skills through classic projects like cups, bowls, and plates.
Julia also includes the secrets behind her distinctive decal work, tips and tricks, artist features, and galleries featuring some of today's top ceramicists.
