Dimensional applique with embroidery. This book has eight projects. Make pillows, (cushions), scissors case, pincushion, a tin top box and table rugs. Learn the basics, then start the projects. The instructions are step by step and very clear with excellent photos and illustrations. There are templates for the designs too. This book is delightful and full of wonderful projects. I love the Jacobean design on the front cover. Inside you will find more flowers very realistic heartsease pansies, buttercups and a fabulous pumpkin table rug. If you want something seasonal the Nutcracker should fit the bill. At the back of the book, youll find out how to do the embroidery stitches. There are also actual-size pattern sheets. This book has great appeal. You can start with the small projects and work up to larger ones if you are new to this craft. Recommended.
The book is designed to give you amazing projects that are functional, quick to stitch & make wonderful gifts. The book starts with everything you will need
to know to make the projects. It goes into detail explaining how to use different
methods to get the patterns transferred and how to use them with everything from cutting to the embroidery. I have found the instructions and tips helpful
with other projects as well. With each of the projects you are supplied
with each of the templates that are required. You are also taken through each of the materials that you will require. You are then taken through the Prework
you will need to undertake before sewing the project together. You are then taken through each of the steps. There are also clear pictures to make things
easier for you. I especially found this the most helpful. There are projects for autumn and Christmas so you can add them to your house to give it that special look. There are also designs that can be used throughout the year. Some of the projects are rugs, runners and pillows. My most favorite projects are "The Smalls" This include everything from a pincushion to a scissors holder. At the back of the book you have a stitch guide so even if you have never sewn or embroidered you will be able to complete the projects. At the very back is the template sheets. These are easily taken from the book and make the cutting of the fabric easier. The designs in this book are amazing. I think that they are so beautiful. The Nutcracker Penny Rug is my absolute favorite. I may not get mine finished for this Christmas but I can't wait to show it off next year. I love this book, I love the designs and the projects are so special you won't think twice about giving them as gifts to family and friends. I bet your friends and family will be shocked
when they realised you have made them. This book is a must have!!
