About Bev Getschel
Bev Getschel's story starts the same as many; she cannot remember a time when she wasn't sewing. Her mother sewed and started her on primitive doll clothes as soon as she could hold a needle and thread. In High school she made garments for herself, her sister, and her friends. Then she continued by making clothes for her children, then finally graduating into evening gowns and costumes. In 2003, she stumbled into quilting, and it was a great fit. Retiring from hairdressing in 2004 gave her the time to pursue her newfound hobby. At first, she pursued competition quilts, with some success on the regional level, but she soon discovered it was the design process she enjoyed most. Bev has had many featured patterns published in major quilt magazines. Bev's unique style of blending traditional patterns with her own flavor of applique to create upscale eclectic finishes with amaze and delight all quilters. Her patterns are clear, stylish and appeal to all skill levels.
